about jason
My acting career began on an early morning at a Speech and Debate tournament circa 2015. Where, after thirty seconds of delivering a speech that was supposed to last ten minutes, I quit the competition and resigned myself to never speaking in front of an audience ever again.
After a few weeks, I couldn’t stop thinking about what had happened. I was determined to prove to myself that I could get better. So, I decided to give it another try, and before I knew it, I had a new-found obsession with everything pertaining to acting. One failed speech turned into joining the high school drama club. Which, in turn, led me to get accepted to the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts program, and before I knew it, I graduated from Northern Kentucky University (NKU) with a BFA in Acting. While attending NKU, I also studied rigorously at Cincinnati Actor’s Studio and Academy, and eventually landed my first professional job with the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. Now, my latest journey has me living in New York with the intention of making my living as an actor. I think that nervous kid from 2015 would be proud.
I love the craft of acting, and take great pleasure in working on film, classical, and experimental plays in particular. Some of my favorite roles have been Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, John Merrick in The Elephant Man, and all of the new roles I’ve helped bring to life in the various film projects that I have worked on. But, when I’m not on the stage or in front of the camera, you can usually find me on the disc golf course, outside running, or in my apartment reading. I love adventure and am always ready to learn something new!
